In atypical apple fashion, the Cupertino giant has confirmed it will host its rumored September 9 event at the Flint Center in Cupertino.

Recode reported yesterday that the company is planning on releasing not only the new iPhone, but also an iWatch smartwatch.

In an announcement made today jointly by the tech giants, Apple and Samsung have decided to end their non-US patent war.  The announcement comes after Apple was again victorious in the seemingly never-ending patent wars.  

However, the new settlement does not affect USA patent claims and Apple will likely pursue it’s lawsuits.  Apple was famously awarded over $1 Billion in August of 2012 with Samsung found infringing on several key patents.

Apple and Samsung have agreed to drop all litigation between the two companies outside the United States.

This agreement does not involve any licensing arrangements, and the companies are continuing to pursue the existing cases in US courts.
